Why I won’t be getting the iPad mini

Apple just released a smaller version of its iPad tablet or more appropriately a larger version of it’s iPhone series and it’s an expensive bore to say the least.

Undoubtedly, the iPad has amazing features, but rivalling Amazon, Google and Samsung would prove difficult….why? Because the iPad mini is still expensive and no more efficient that the Samsung Galaxy Note and S series.

I still have major reservations about apple products, namely because I’m a fast internet/pc user. I don’t like loading iTunes to upload any pictures or media onto my device and apple products are still too one dimensional where data upload on external devices are concerned.

According to Apple’s Marketing chief Phil Schiller ”Others have tried to make tablets smaller than the iPad and they have failed miserably”. Phil, I suggest you take a week off an play with the Google Nexus 7.

The device is 7.9in (20cm) high and weighs 0.68lbs (0.3kg) - half as much as the normal iPad. At 0.3ins (7.2mm), it is also as thin as a pencil.

The screen resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels, the same as the iPad 2 and a quarter of the resolution of the third-generation iPad.

But with all these features, the device is still more expensive than the Amazon Fire and Google Nexus.

Thanks Apple but I would pass on this….
