Inspiration: Toddler to Obama “I want to know if my hair is just like yours”

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but this one is absolutely priceless. Meet Jacob Philadelphia.

The toddler accompanied the rest of his family at the White house 5 months ago because his father Carlton Philadelphia, a former Marine, was departing his White House job after working at the National Security Council.

On leaving the White house, President Obama greeted the family and Little Jacob asked the president a question that was so touching it would make anyone well up.

Jacob Philadelphia, had shyly asked the commander-in-chief if his hair was like the President’s.

Jacob spoke ahead of his older brother Isaac, saying in the softest of voices: “I want to know if my hair is just like yours.”

The president barely heard what Jacob said, and asked the five-year-old to repeat his question. He then replied: “Why don’t you touch it and see for yourself”

According to the Daily Mail

It was at that moment that the president folded himself at the waist and offered the crown of his head for the little boy to feel. He encouraged Jacob by saying, ‘Touch it, dude!’

After he felt the president’s head, Jacob issued his verdict to the room. “Yes, it does feel the same,” he concluded.

President Obama continues to show his humility in the face of his detractors. This image is a priceless inspiration to little black kids everywhere. Well done Mr Obama
